Hi,
I am Seong Tay, co-owner of the Sydney Orchid Centre.
I have launched this blog to let you know what orchids are currently in flower at the nursery and what is available for sale.
I intend keeping this website simple, nothing fanciful, just enough to keep you informed.
If there is a plant or plants that you would like to buy from the For Sale section, please contact me by email at soc@theorchidmart.com or write to The Sydney Orchid Centre, PO Box 120, Kenthurst, NSW 2156.
Cheers,
Seong

This one is from the same flask as the awarded one on the left and available for sale #24 in Slipper Orchids For Sale
This is the first from a flask of Phrag. Memoria Mariza Rolando I bought from Ecuagenera. There are another 6 in bud at the moment. It is easy to grow. The potting medium has to be moist all the time and will tolerate cold down to 4 degrees C.
Paph. Willowspring x Paph. charlesworthii fma. album from Sam Tsui of Orchid Inn Ltd. with the large beautiful characteristic of Paph. charlesworthii. The flower is large on a small plant the size of its parent Paph. charlesworthii.
This Paphiopedilum species is endemic in South China around Hong Kong. The dorsal sepal of this species normally rolls backwards laterally but in this particular flower it stays flat flat for quite a few days before rolling backwards. This species grows cold down to 4 degrees C.
This is the albinistic form of Paph. villosum which is rare. This particular clone is superior to others, having a wide flat dorsal sepal that remains flat.
This is a hardy and easy to grow species.
This species comes from the Philippines. Rarely seen or benched at meetings. Not readily available anywhere.
