Plants for sale
Slipper Orchids
We grow both species and hybrid Paphiopedilum.
We have more than 80 Paphiopedilum species in our collection and are adding new species to our collection as they become available. These will be available for sale in the near future.
Our Paphiopedilum hybrids include Brachys, Parvis, Multiflorals, Complex, Maudiae and Novelty.
We also grow some Phragmipedium species and hybrids and Mexipedium xerophytica.
WE EMPHASIZE ON QUALITY
Conditions of Sale
Plants for sale are for the domestic market only and are not available to those states that have biosecurity restrictions.
Our plants are grown in clear pots which enable you to visualise a healthy root system which is necessary for a plant to grow properly. It is most frustrating to buy an expensive Paph to discover that it has no roots when you repot it.
I will not sell you a plant that is not in an optimal condition.
A brief description of each plant is included as well as a picture of the plant. The plant in the picture is the plant that you buy. We do not substitute. Please note that flowers, if present in a picture, may have altered by the time you receive the plant.
Prices
Prices vary according to the size, parentage, scarcity or desirability, germination rate and the time to establish it for sale. Our prices are very reasonable to encourage more people to grow Slipper Orchids. A 10% discount or more will be given to financial members of the Paphiopedilum Society of New South Wales, Inc.

Delivery
Plants are sent by Australia Post according to rates set by Australia Post. Plants can also be collected at the nursery or arrangements can be made for the plant(s) to be collected at the various orchid society meetings which I attend (when Covid19 restrictions are eased).

I grow this Phrag in my cold glasshouse where the temperature can go as low as 6 degrees C. The roots must never be allowed to dry out and I would recommend sitting it in a shallow dish of very dilute fertiliser solution. Do not wet leaves in winter otherwise it will develop unsightly fungal spots. There is no need to grow Phrags in clear pots as they prefer a wet growing medium, unlike Paphs.

This Paph. sanderianum is from Hung Sheng Orhid Nursery batch HS6001 and is a sibling of the one flowering in Page 1 "What's in Flower".
It should be putting out a new lead soon and when the new lead is half-mature, it will start to flower.
When emerging new leaves start getting shorter (hopefully not due to neglect!), it is a sign that the plant will putting out a flower raceme.
